NEW STARTS

This past year was a little harsh physically, so I am super glad to put it behind me.  I started a new journey yesterday.  As I was on the journey, I realized it had started it 2 weeks ago when I signed up for yoga classes that start in January.  Since I'm only looking forward, I won't mention how many gym memberships I have had and how long I have stuck with them.  I was lucky to find a yoga classes from the county parks & recreation department of my county that are at my local elementary school for a reasonable price, when I was searching for beekeeping classes (more on that later).

I was going through my blog feed yesterday when I saw Thistlewood Farms post.  She spoke to me in a way that I hadn't heard in a long time.  She make me drop what I was doing, get out of my pjs and get a quick walk in before it was too dark.

Epiphany while walking, can't lecture your kids about healthy lifestyle choices if you are not modeling them.

See you tomorrow

Horse fever "horsitis"

How do you know your daughter has it?  I submit to you the following as a symptom checker:

Hoarse throat from shouting out 'trailer' every time they spot a trailer on the road

Neck cramps from turning head to look into every trailer that you pass to see what it holds

Falling asleep before dinner from exhaustive physical work at the barn, as opposed to the usual activity of laying around reading a book

A silly smile that appears on the face when getting ready to go do anything horse related

Going to the barn in the dark to walk 2 fields to retrieve horse just to groom and feed a carrot to it

Dreaming of what you will name your farm when you grow up

More horse clothes in your closet than regular clothes

Dressing up means putting your half chaps, helmet, riding vest and paddock boots on

The list continues ......feel free to add your own in the comments
